I’m usually the girl who is drawn to pink like a moth to a flame but lately I have been loving black, not because my mood is somber but because I just find it so flattering (as everyone knows), and it always makes my blonde hair stand out so much more and even appear longer. When putting together this outfit I felt a bit gothic but but decided that really it was so much more boho chic (duh!).
This stunning dress* from Millie Mackintosh’s collection is definitely my new fave LBD. It is the definition of boho chic with its beautiful lace top half and light floaty chiffon bottom half. The sleeves are amazing, fitted and lacy merging into floaty and relaxed. The back of the dress is scooped which makes it different from the high front. With its ruched elasticated waist it is very flattering on the stomach area too which makes this dress perfect if you are going out for a meal. This dress can be worn for so many occasions which makes it a fantastic staple for your wardrobe. The best part, it is currently reduced from £68 down to £34 you can find it HERE. I teamed the dress with black tights but they were quite thin and I was rather chilly so wish I’d worn my thick knee high socks (or been sensible and found thicker tights!). Wearing my black floppy hat instantly added that extra pop of chic to the outfit (you can find a similar one HERE) and it kind of disguised my undone hair which is always a bonus. Finally, I wore my River Island ankle boots with silver hardware I got for Christmas which have the perfect sized heel for day but could also be worn into the night. Unfortunately, these don’t seem to be available anymore but you can find similar HERE & HERE.
P.S I bet you’re jealous of my yummy pancakes and french toast my friend and I shared! So much for being good this January! If you live in King’s Lynn they’re from Archers Cafe (a fab cafe by day and cocktail bar by night!).
You look gorgeous Jordan 🙂 xx
