Gerard Cosmetics have undeniably conquered the cosmetic industry with their phenomenal lip glosses so there was going to be big shoes to fill when they decided to create a lipstick line. I was a lucky girl and received the first five lipsticks in their line so I’ve decided to write up a little review for you.
Firstly, these lipsticks are presented beautifully in their luxe shiny gold packaging which simply has Gerard Cosmetics written on. These look stunning placed on my dressing table and in some strange way they kind of remind me of bullets. If looks could kill should be a name of one of their lippies. OK, enough of the not so important stuff and onto the most important part of review, the lipsticks themselves. Each lipstick is matte but creamy so doesn’t leave your lips feeling like you’ve been in the Sahara desert like some can. The pigmentation is very impressive as you can see from my swatches about (with and without flash). The lasting power is incredible, you literally need to apply it when you get ready and only slightly touch up after you’ve eaten. Nude doesn’t last quite as long as the others but fairly long for a nude shade. As these lipsticks don’t need much retouching they will last a long time before you need to repurchase.
Tequila Sunrise ~ A peachy coral shade which, in my opinion, is a perfect Summer lipstick as will look amazing with tanned skin, but there are no rules when it comes to makeup so if you want to rock it in the Winter months go for it.
Fire Engine ~ An intense Hollywood red which is super festive and super glam. The lasting power of this red is the best by far and it was still on my lips when I went to remove my makeup!
1995 ~ A Jaclyn Hill creation inspired by the decade which we are all loving at the moment, the 90s! It was made with Kylie Jenner in mind as so many people want to recreate her look and with the help of Jaclyn, Gerard Cosmetics have hit the nail on the head. Like all 5 of these lipsticks it is matte but creamy and glides on with ease.
All Dolled Up ~ The perfect hot pink for all of you girly girls out there. I think this pink looks gorgeous with so many looks and instantly makes a bold statement.
Nude ~ One of Gerard Cosmetics best selling lip glosses was ‘Nude’ and this lipstick is the perfect partner for the gloss. Its not too nude so your lips completely disappear it is more of a peachy nude which suits everyone.
Gerard Cosmetics have recently added 2 new lipsticks to the line Buttercup and Cherry Cordial which look absolutely stunning so I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
