You must all know by now that I love receiving my monthly subscription box from The Vegan Kind so I’m not going to ramble on about it too much in this blog post but it costs £10 per month (+ £2.95 P&P). You can see previous posts all about it here & here and you can visit the website here.
What treats I found inside The Vegan Kind June 2014 box:
* Ten Acre ‘The Story of when the Cheese met the Onion’ Crisps (RRP 85p) ~ These tasty crisps are gluten free (of course), dairy free, MSG free and certified vegan! Although we all know crisps aren’t the healthiest option at least by eating these we know that there may not be as much rubbish in them. Also, the packaging is kind of cute which makes them nicer of course! Find these crisps here.
* Sativa Shakes Strawberry & Banana Protein Powder (RRP £2.99) ~ I’m quite enjoying protein shakes at the moment and much to Mike’s despair I keep using his so I was glad to see this sachet inside this month’s box. However, I did give it a try and I didn’t like it too much but Mike did so we did a swap. This protein is fab for those who are vegan/lactose intolerant as it doesn’t contain any dairy products unlike some protein powders. It is made from plant protein so it is a great source of fibre, contains good fats, is natural, and doesn’t contain any artificial sweetener. *Mr Organic Sun Dried Tomato Pesto 130g (RRP £2.99) ~ I love pesto so I cannot wait to give this a try. Not only is it vegan it is also organic which is more important to me as I’m not actually a vegan. This yummy looking pesto doesn’t contain any pesticides or harmful hormones and it is free from additives (obviously as its organic). The Vegan Kind has given their subscribers a recipe (which they do each month) which suggests to use this as a pizza base as opposed to tomato puree which seems like a fab idea. Find it here.
*inSpiral Raw Chocolately Superfood Bites (RRP £1.39) ~ I was so chuffed to see something from inSpiral in this month’s box. InSpiral is a raw food/ vegan cafe in Camden which I visited a few years ago and loved – I really need to go back. I’ve demolished these delicious but healthy bites already! They are made from raw cacao, apple, dates, sultanas and omega-rich seeds, nuts and whole grains which combined create chocolately granola bites. These are not only vegan they are also organic and contain seven vegan protein sources. I really recommend trying these. Find them here – You can also use the code vegankindgreen and you will get £5 off any £20 inSpiral order.
*Peppy Galore Diva Toner/Refreshing Facial Spray (£4.95) ~ Its always lovely to come across a cruelty free beauty product and this month The Vegan Kind have surprised us with this toner from Peppy Galore. It is only made up of one ingredient which is rose water so smells gorgeous. Rose water is great at calming the skin and reducing redness. This is ideal for those with sensitive skin and for those who don’t fancy putting too many chemicals all over their face. This is great as a toner or a refreshing facial mist in the warmer months. This is a fairly small bottle but is perfect for travelling. Get 15% off you order with the code THEVEGANKIND. Check out the website here.
I hope The Vegan Kind don’t mind me giving you guys all of the discount codes but sharing is caring 😉
