Loreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara Review

With sleek shiny packaging and a desirable name I was drawn to this Loreal ‘Volume Million Lashes Excess’ mascara like a bee to honey. Who doesn’t want to pretend that a product could maybe give you a million lashes?! Loreal doesn’t claim this by the way but it does express to the consumer that they’ll look lashtastic! Thankfully my impulse purchase of buying yet another mascara, which I didn’t need, was a good choice as it has done me proud the past few months and I’m going to tell you why. I bought it back in March and three months of excessive use later it is still going strong! Whenever I get a new mascara I always dread using it as they all seem to be too wet and that was no different for this mascara – I’d be shocked if I loved a mascara on the first day of use. However, after a few days I began to enjoy wearing it as I noticed how lovely my lashes looked, if I do say so myself. With its ‘Millioniser’ brush it applies the gel like mascara to the lashes perfectly with no clumps in sight. As you can see in the photo above my eyelashes look like they are fanning out and each individual lash looks coated in the product. I feel this mascara gives a perfect combination of volume with a pretty wispy look. Loreal do claim this product lasts 24 hours like they do with a few of their other products but I cannot vouch for this because like I’ve said before; who wears makeup for 24 hours!? However, what I can say is that this mascara is long lasting and does coat my lashes how I like for most of the day – or until I accidentally rub my eyes from staring at the laptop screen for too long!
