I’m a lover of gold eyeshadows as they just make blue eyes pop so when I discovered this Color Infallible eyeshadow from Loreal I felt a magnetic pull to purchase it- so obviously I had no choice but to add yet another eyeshadow to my ever growing collection. This shade I opted for was 027 Goldmine which is a yellowy gold colour with an iridescent finish. It has a stunning shimmer to it which looks great if you love to have a radiant glow. The texture of this eyeshadow feels super soft and somewhat creamy – it reminds me so much of a pressed pigment.
I love using this eyeshadow with MAC’s Fix+ spray because it intensifies the pigmentation leaving you with a metallic finish. However, if you want a wash of colour then simply sweep this across your eye and it still looks pretty. I believe this eyeshadow works best when applied with the fingers but I apply it to a small and very dense brush with a spritz of MAC’s Fix+ on and which works well too. Loreal claim this eyeshadow lasts up to an impressive 24 hours which I wouldn’t necessarily agree with as after around 8 hours it was beginning to fade a bit (it lasts a little longer with fix+). Also, who would test that it lasts 24 hours?! Pretty gross to even contemplate leaving your makeup on that long!
Encased inside luxe looking and study packaging you’re getting a fab product for only £6.99. Below you won’t be seeing the most professional photo I’ve ever posted as I’m stuffing my face full of cake (ha!) but you can see how intense the gold pigment is on my eyes! Love it. I’ll definitely be looking at trying other colours from the range! What are you favourites?
