Our everyday lives can be stressful, our lifestyle choices may not always be the healthiest and to top it all off there is pollution all around us. All of these factors encourage free radicals to attach themselves to our cells which causes the skin to oxidise which results in everyones worst nightmare… premature wrinkles. Caudalie, a wonderful French skincare brand, have come to save the day with their innovative Polyphenol C15 line which is a combination of grape polyphenol (which is said to be 10,000 times more effective than vitamin E) mixed with vitamin C which blocks an impressive 100% of free radicals. Caudalie kindly sent me their Polyphenol C15 Anti-Ox box* to try so thought I would review it for you. Inside the box you get the three sample sized wonder products along with a stress ball, cotton bracelet and a healthy juice recipe (which is great for the skin) for only £15. I think trialling sample sizes of products is such a fantastic idea as it means you can see how great each product is before you shell out your cash. Sample sized products are brilliant for travelling too so if you’re going away this Summer I recommend this. This cute box would also make a fabulous gift! The products don’t contain any parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulphate, or animal ingredients.
The first product is the Anti Defence Serum (10ml) which Caudalie have described as a ‘powerful anti-oxidant shot of youth’. This product, like all in the line, contains the polyphenol C15 cocktail but also hyaluronic acid and olive squalane to help moisturise and plump the skin to visibly reduce wrinkles. I have been enjoying this product as it feels so light on the skin and smells very fresh. I have quite good skin when it comes to wrinkles so I won’t notice a difference from that aspect but I have noticed it does make my skin feel perfectly plump.
The second product is the Anti Wrinkle Protective Fluid SPF 20 (15ml) which Caudalie have described as an ‘anti-oxidant shield for the day’. When I first looked at this product I was confused, was it a moisturiser? a suntan lotion? but after a bit more research it seems that is is both. To be exact it is a multi-purpose anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle treatment. As it also contains SPF 20 it helps protect from those nasty UVA & UVB rays which penetrate our skin constantly when we are outside. Once I applied this slightly tangy and very fresh smelling product my skin felt super soft.
The final product in this box is an Anti-Wrinkle Cream For Eyes & Lips (5ml) which helps with dark circles and puffiness. It is enriched with Matrixyl 3000 and extracts from fern, horse chestnut and witch hazel. This is the ultimate anti-oxidant eye cream. I loved the texture of this product as it is quite a lot thicker and has more benefits than the previous Caudalie eye cream I had been using. I have also been applying this to my top lip area to help defend my skin from developing any wrinkles. I have one pesky wrinkle near my lip which really annoys me so I will be repurchasing this product to work its magic.
Have you tried Caudalie’s Polyphenol C15 line?
