For My Incredible Mum

Today is Mother’s Day here in the UK so today I thought I’d write a little something about my amazing Mum. We all think our own Mum’s are incredible but I’m so thankful that I’ve got such a supportive and strong one. As you may know at 15 years old I broke my neck in a car accident, leaving me paralysed from the chest down. Ever since my Mum has been my rock, in fact she always has been. She has been my Mum and Dad rolled in to one and to have me at only 18 years old I’m so lucky that she was so selfless and put so much time and effort in to bringing me up. She was the one I would exclaim those awful words no Mother should hear their child say, ‘I wish I was dead’ which stemmed from being paralysed, a prisoner in my own body it felt at times. My Mum must’ve felt so helpless as she just wanted me to be better but there was nothing she could do. Thankfully I’m a completely different person now. She has seen me be happy, be bullied, on deaths door, depressed and extremely positive. I know my life has been an absolute rollercoaster but without the strength of my mum I wouldn’t be half as strong and positive as I am today. Therefore, I want to say thank you Mum, you are absolutely incredible. You continue to do so much for me and I’m so grateful. I’m 24 now and still need more help than most people do from their Mums, one day I will be cured (hopefully!) and I’ll do some things for her, I promise. Xxx

This is such a lovely post 🙂 Your mum is a gorgeous lady and at first I thought she could be your sister in the holiday pic! 🙂
