Dirty Looks HK Full Head Hair Extensions*

These days we are spoilt for choice when it comes to hair extensions which can make it difficult for us to know which ones are great and which ones are naff and a total waste of money. Unlike other products it feels a bit risky buying hair extensions blind because we want to get the perfect colour, fantastic quality, and a natural looking set. Thats where us beauty bloggers can help with the process. I was so excited when I was sent these HK full head hair extensions by the lovely people at Dirty Looks to review for you and I’m so glad I can give you all such a positive review. These extensions are made from 100% human Remy hair which is the finest hair you can buy.

First things first, choosing the colour. I wasn’t too sure which shade I would be as there is a brilliant wide range of 21 shades to choose from – which means they’re more than likely going to have your perfect match. After worrying I’d end up choosing an incorrect shade I sent Dirty Looks a photo of my hair and they matched me to the shade ‘Paparazzi Highlighted’. Next, choosing the length, I opted for 20-22″ (180g in weight) but you can also choose from 12-14″ (150g), 16-18″ (150g) and 24-26″ (180g). The hair extensions start at £69.99 for the 12-14″ but because I chose to have the 20-22″ they went up to £99.99. As this is a pack of full head hair extensions you receive 10 clip-in wefts including one quad weft.

The hair extensions were delivered to me at lightening speed and I was surprised at how small the package was. Inside the delivery package the hair extensions were presented inside a beautiful lavender box embossed with the HK logo. Once I opened the box I was greeted by the hair extensions neatly compact inside see-through packaging which has two openings. One of the openings has one weft of hair inside which you can take out and analyse to make sure the colour is correct and that you’re happy to keep the product. Therefore, if the colour is wrong or you’re unhappy with the product quality (which you won’t be!) you can send them back for a refund or exchange. I think this is such a brilliant idea as it is so easy to buy the wrong colour when purchasing online. Luckily, when I popped the weft beside my hair I couldn’t believe how perfect the match was, it seemed as if they were custom made for my hair. The quality of the hair extensions is incredible. They’re just so unbelievably soft and are gorgeously thick with lovely blunt ends – don’t you find sometimes hair extensions can look wispy at the ends!? Well these aren’t so there’s no need to trim them a bit like you have to with some others.

Inside the box you also receive a very handy booklet which tells you about the extensions, tips and tricks, how to take care of them and, most importantly, how to apply them. Each hair weft is labelled with a number and in the booklet it explains to you where each numbered weft goes.

When I wore the extensions I was super impressed. I literally popped them in and didn’t style them – I only backcombed a tiny bit of my own hair and I was good to go. Although you can style them with straighteners/curling wands etc. The colour seems so natural, length was what I desire my own hair to be like and my hair just looked like it had so much volume. To me, it didn’t look like I was blatantly wearing hair extensions, instead it looked as if my hair was incredibly healthy. The clips stayed in place all day and didn’t feel at all loose by the end of the day. I can’t wait to wear these over and over again.

I know they’re perfect! I like that they’re not a block colour and have different shades running through them like my own hair 🙂
