Here in the UK we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to beauty subscription boxes but after seeing some Australian bloggers/YouTubers discussing their latest vegan boxes I wondered why we haven’t got anything similar, then I discovered The Vegan Kind. The Vegan Kind or TVK is a monthly subscription box based in the UK which features 5-8 products which are all vegan friendly. The products can vary from food to cosmetics to household products. Like all subscription boxes you are unaware what you will be sent each month which gives you an element of surprise and who doesn’t like a good old surprise?! Its so great to try products you may not of heard of before. TVK is £10 per month plus £2.95 P&P and is sent out during the first four working days of the month.
Inside the box for March 2014 I received:
Greenfrog Natural Washing Up Liquid 500ml ~ I would have never come across anything like this if I hadn’t received my box and I’m sure it will come in handy for those who do a lot of washing up (not me, I can’t reach the sink – such a great excuse!). This washing up liquid is said to get your dishes squeaky clean while keeping your hands feeling super soft as it it is infused with essential oils. You can find it here for £1.69.
SAF Express Raw Coconut Cookies ~ These tasty treats are rather scrummy. In the packet you receive four coconut cookies which are three different flavours (plain, mint & berry). They are made up of buckwheat, coconut flakes, agave, cacao nibs, vanilla extract, himalayan pink salt, coconut oil and raisins. I really liked how these tasted but be careful as they are very solid so feel as if you’re going to snap a tooth, but once you start chewing they go down a treat. Its always great to find a healthy sweet treat which isn’t full of rubbish. You can find them here for £4.29.
Flavour Magic Harrisa Powder ~ I don’t know about you but I love flavouring my food with spice and herbs and this seasoning is the perfect combination of the two. A great thing about this powder is that Flavour Magic try to use as many organic and fairtrade products as possible. You can find it here for £3.
Onthepulse Hot Chicks ~ These are a crunchy healthy treat which are great if you’re craving a snack throughout the day. They are made up from chickpeas and spice and can be found here for only £1.
Pulsin Raw Choc Brownie ~ And last but by no means least is this delicious yet good for you brownie. Yep, you heard correctly! I have loved these brownies from Pulsin for a while now so was so pleased when I saw it featured in TVK box. This brownie is made up of 100% natural ingredients; enriched with rice protein, anti-oxidant rich raw cacao, mineral rich almonds, raisins, vanilla and cashews! These are just fab as they are also vegan, have no added sugar, dairy free, gluten free, have no trans fats, and non GMO. The best bit? They actually taste delicious! Find them here for £1.91.
Inside the box you also receive a recipe card (the recipe looks so yummy!), a newsletter which tells you about TVK and their chosen animal charity of the month (10p from each box goes towards the charity) and a leaflet which indicates what is inside your box.
The contents inside this month’s box costs £11.89, which you are paying £10 for plus £2.95 for P&P, which indicates that you won’t be saving money by buying this box (each box worth probably varies). However, it is a great to get if you’re on the hunt for new products which you may not have found if you hadn’t got TVK box. Also, its like getting yourself a box of goodies each month. I got sent this box to review but I’m considering signing up to see what I’ll get next month and if I don’t like it I can cancel at anytime which is fab as there’s nothing worse in signing up for something that you can’t cancel until you’ve done a certain number of months.
You can sign up for your own Vegan Kind box at www.thevegankind.com.
