Loreal LExtraordinaire Liquid Lipstick ~ Fuchsia Drama 401

A couple of days ago I went to Boots in search of a tan remover but unfortunately I was unsuccessful and couldn’t find one. Feeling annoyed at not finding the desired product I decided I couldn’t go home completely empty handed. One of the products I picked up was the Loreal LExtraordinaire Liquid Lipstick by Color Riche in the shade Fuchsia Drama 401. It is a vibrant fuchsia shade and it was the one that my eyes were attracted to the most and from the photo you can probably tell why. After wearing it yesterday I felt compelled to write a review for you.

The Loreal LExtraordinare Liquid Lipsticks by Color Riche are a cocktail of lipstick, lipgloss and a balm all in one product.

I’ve heard these liquid lipsticks are supposed to be a dupe for the YSL Glossy Stain. However, I can’t comment on that as I haven’t had the pleasure of trying the Glossy Stain before (sob). What are your thoughts? The Loreal LExtraordinaire is presented in shiny gold packaging (my fave) with the shade placed on the top, on the side and the base of the product. I love when a lip product actually has the shade on its packaging as it makes it so much easier to find the colour I’m searching for when rummaging through my extensive lip collection. The packaging reminds me of a nail polish as opposed to a lip product but I actually like it. As I went to apply the liquid lipstick I noticed a lovely apricot scent to the product. However, I know some of you probably don’t like scented products but don’t worry as the scent fades pretty fast. The applicator wand is super soft and helps glide the lipstick on perfectly because of its shape. The lipstick itself is beautifully intense in colour pigmentation and has a fantastic wet look shine to it. My lips felt smooth beneath the lipstick and apparently its because it is made up of micro-oils. I don’t have too many lipglosses in my collection as I hate how some can be extremely sticky which seems to make my hair stick to my lips in a windy situation (not my fave!), but this lip product doesn’t feel too sticky at all which I was surprised at considering its so shiny. Although the intensity of the colour faded slightly, and I mean very slightly, after around 3 hours I still didn’t feel I needed to apply anymore as it still looked pretty good. After around 4 and a half hours though it was definitely time to reapply. I can’t comment on the other shades in the collection but I can say I’m happy I picked up this baby and for £8.99 I can’t complain at all.

I know it’s similar to the Milani lipstick I’ve been obsessing over but with a shine to it 🙂 Beyonce was amazing! X
