Glossybox ~ February 2014

ImageImageImage

OK, let’s just talk about how adorable this month’s Glossybox* packaging is! I will definitely be keeping this Valentines Day lipstick kisses inspired box for something I’m sure. Last month I wasn’t too impressed with the contents of the monthly surprise from Glossybox but this month I have rekindled my love for it as I received three full sized products and a chocolate bar which won me over instantly. Top tip Glossybox always include some kind of foodie treat as us women love it! As usual a lovely glossy magazine is included and although it doesn’t have many pages to it, it always is relevant to the box. As always a subscription to Glossybox is £10 (P&P included) and you can get yours here.

What’s inside?

*Nougat London ~ Sparkling Body Shimmer ~ A generous 100ml sample bottle of this pretty little gem which says to add radiance to your skin. Now, when I saw this I assumed it was a shower gel but it says that its a lotion which you apply to the skin and allow to dry and you’re then left looking shimmery! Its gently perfumed and adds a lovely shimmer to your skin, I was worried it would make me look like a disco ball but the glitter is so fine it doesn’t look ridiculous. I think this will look lovely on the legs so with any luck we will have a warm Spring! It is made from mallow extract, vitamin E and wheatgerm enriched oil. The full sized product (250ml) is £14. nougatlondon.co.uk

*NV ~ Chunky Eye Crayon ~ A pretty full size eye crayon in the shade ‘sugarplum’. I’m looking forward to experimenting with this ‘crease-free’ crayon as pinks are so in makeup fashion right now and will be more so come Spring. This product can also been used on the lips and body, as you may know I love multi-use products but I’m not sure where I’d use this on my body! RRP £4 nvcolour.com and get 20% your first purchase with the code ‘GLOSSY20’, you’re welcome.

*Ciate London ~ Paint Pot ~I was so happy when I saw this gorgeous full size nail polish in the box. I’m in love with the shade ‘Play Date’ and I’m in love with Ciate’s packaging with the cute little bow on the front. I’ve never tried one of these polishes before so I can’t wait to try it and I’m hoping it’s as good as it looks! RRP £9 ciate.co.uk.

*Giovanni Eco Chic Cosmetics ~ Ultra Moist Range ~ 7.4ml samples of both the shampoo and conditioner and 10.35ml of the hair mask. I love having samples for weekends away but I’m actually excited to just try this at home. This brand is said to be America’s number one selling natural haircare brand. I’m always keen to try anything which isn’t full of chemicals/alcohols so I may try this tomorrow. It contains Moroccan argan oils, avocado and papaya. Full sized shampoo & conditioner is £7.99 for 251ml healthbeautynetwork.co.uk.

*Maybelline New York ~ Big Eyes Mascara ~ I love trying new mascaras, especially drug store ones, so I’m very pleased a full size of Maybellines latest one is included in this months box. This mascara has two different wands within it, one made specifically for the top lashes and one for the bottom which is said to ‘produce an all-round eye-opening effect’. Looking forward to putting it to the test. RRP £8.99 boots.com.

*Lindt ~ Lindor Treat Bar ~ This is the cheapest product in the box but it made me so excited. I love Lindt chocolates and actually got sent this bar with my ASOS package I bought last week too and it was divine. Chocolate treats are the best. Lindt-shop.co.uk and use the code ‘Glossybox’ to receive 25% off!

Did you get this month’s Glossybox? Were you as pleasantly surprised as me? Xx

The trouble with subscription boxes is that now and again we’re bound to get a duff box and last month’s Glossybox was that for me. I’ve never tried Birchbox are they not very good? xx

Birchbox is ok, the first few boxes were great but I just haven’t been that exicted about the last 2. I think I just have too high expectations for them 🙂 I might just cancel and invest the money in a nice lipstick or blusher that I want every month instead 🙂 xx

Aw thanks hun! I have a feeling they only ship to the UK & Ireland but I’m not 100% sure. There’s also an American Glossybox site and they might ship elsewhere…maybe?x
