Whenever there is hype surrounding a new beauty product about to be released I always get excited. I’m in love with a fair few of NARS products so when there were whisperings of a new palette I knew I had to have it even before I discovered the type of palette it would be. The morning it became available I was laying in my cosy bed casually scrolling through Twitter on my phone when Anna from Vivanna Does Makeup tweeted that she had just purchased the palette, I’d completely forgot it was the online release date, so I quickly went onto the NARS website and purchased it at lightening speed. Anna, It is all your fault I have yet another palette in my collection.
The latest palette that I’m talking about is called the NARSissist. Inside the classic NARS casing includes fifteen best selling, most adored neutral eyeshadows. This palette costs a whopping £50 but when you consider one eyeshadow from NARS costs £18 then really you’re getting a massive bargain. Yes, the eyeshadows are smaller inside the palette than if you bought them individually but still it is definitely a bargain. The shades range from light to dark and matte to shimmery. This is the perfect palette to pack if you’re travelling as its compact, complete with large mirror and you will be able to create a wide variety of looks with it from a pretty natural daytime look to a heavily smokey eye for the night. As you can see from the photo above I have create a smokey eye and I used the shade Dogon #2 on the base of the lid, Coconut Grove in the crease and Bellissma #1 on the brow bone. I’m so excited to create more looks with this! The only negative I have about the palette so far is that it doesn’t have the shade names on it (I typed the names on it in the photo above if you couldn’t guess, haha!) and I like to know what shade I’m using for when I’m blogging or doing a YouTube makeup tutorial as it makes it far easier to refer to it that way. In the swatch photos above I have used a camera with and without a flash so I hope you find that helpful.
You can find it at John Lewis but unfortunately it is out of stock at the moment but if you type in your email address they will notify you when its back in stock.
