Well its safe to say my beauty favourites for the month of January have been very girly and pink!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Well it seems that every beauty junkie got the Naked 3 palette for Christmas and let me tell you it was definitely worth the hype. Who’d have thought that pink toned shades would be something I reached for?! The thought of pinky eyeshadows would usually make me shudder as I just assumed they would wash me out. However, Urban Decay marketed the Naked 3 palette perfectly by telling us the eyeshadows have a rose gold hue to them and us girls love a bit of rose gold. The lighter shimmery shadows are slightly sheer but look pretty on the eye (for some reason they remind me of a ballerina because they are so girly and dainty). The lightest shades are great for daytime and will excel in the Spring months. The shade ‘Limit’ is a matte shade which is great to use as a transition shade and I have been using this shade every time I use the palette. The darker shades apply beautifully. I have created so many looks with this palette already from a dramatic smokey eye to a soft romantic look. Definitely worth the £37.00.
Milani Baked Blush ~ Dolce Pink
This blush is so pretty, pink and shimmery. It gives you a glowy blushed appearance and I’ve not had to wear highlighter when I’ve been wearing it as it highlights your face beautifully as well as giving a rosy pink cheek. Too bad you can’t buy Milani in the UK because I’m am LOVING their products! I was lucky enough to get some bits in my YouTube beauty swap (Thanks Kai!). In this blush you also get a mirror and handy little brush compact inside.
Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer #42 Rich Bronze
I am loving this creme bronzer from Sonia Kashuk. In the pan it looks really dark but it blends out fabulously which makes it look lovely and natural. It is great for contouring as it is completely matte and you can build up the colour to make it more intense if desired. If you accidentally put too much on it is easy to blend in with your foundation so it is mistake proof which is always a bonus! I haven’t tried Chanel’s Soleil de Tan but it is said to be a dupe for that, and a lot cheaper. Apparently this is only sold in the USA which sucks but fingers crossed it will swim across the pond pretty soon.
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Every time I discover a Real Techniques brush I am always happy with the result it gives and my most recent find of the contour brush has not disappointed. The small head of the brush adds bronzer to the hollows of the cheeks perfectly as it is quite small. I’ve found that this brush works brilliantly with the cream bronzer as the bristles are nice and compact and are easy to blend with. The only downside, at the moment, is that you can’t purchase this brush on its own and it is only available in the Core Collection which is £20.99.
Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer
When I first got this delivered I was a bit disappointed at how small the product was (18g) for £38 but as soon as I started to use it I fell in love. I have been using this product as an under eye concealer/highlighter but it can also be used as an all over foundation. I purchased the shade SX 7. I now know why it seems like you don’t get much product for the price…you literally need a tiny amount as it goes so far. You need to make sure you don’t put too much of this on otherwise it can look cakey. I can imagine this product will last me a long time as each time I use it I gently dip my concealer brush in once for each eye. I always make sure I apply a powder under my eye once I have used this as it is very creamy so your mascara can easily transfer on to it and that is always annoying (Tip ~ Use Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara if you have this problem quite often as i’ve found it doesn’t transfer easily!).
YSL Creme de Blush Babydoll #9
This blush has my name written all over it. I love luxurious and pretty packaging to start and the fact that the shade of this blush is the perfect girly pink I couldn’t be more in creme de blush heaven. This applies like a dream and adds a flush of colour to the cheeks. I’ve been applying it with a stippling brush but you could simply apply it with your finger tips. I like that this blush is buildable but also blendable which makes it easy to rectify if you make a mistake – however, you don’t want to go crazy add too much unless you want to achieve the Aunt Sally look. The key to creating the perfect intensity is slowly building it up. This costs £29 so is great as a gift (Valentines Day is coming up!) or if you fancy treating yourself.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Rose Hip #14
In stunning packaging you’d assume this was a high end lipstick but Milani is a drugstore product. I’m obsessed with this lipstick I received in my USA beauty swap and I literally need to apply it once and it lasts almost all day. It smells like watermelon just like my YSL lipsticks do! It is a highly pigmented bright pink creamy matte shade which feels surprisingly nourishing on the lips. Milani please open a UK store – I alone will keep you in business!
Milani True Instant Color Lip Liner
Yes, I’m aware that I’ve posted a few products unavailable in the UK but I’m guessing some of my readers are from the USA right? Also, I know I’ve wrote ‘color’ not ‘colour’ a couple of times but I’m literally writing the names of the product. Anyway, This lipliner is amazing. It glides easily around the lip and I’m not the biggest fan of lip liners as they can sometimes be difficult to use. I’ve found this lip liner works perfectly with the Rose Hip lipstick and makes your lips look extra plump. A big thumbs up from me!

I love all the colours. So rich in pink, brown and metallics! I need some good brushes – love the high brow pencil!

I’ve just placed an order on eBay to get these shades now as I can’t wait again until I go Vegas in September! Also agree naked 3 palette is absolutely lush! Pink makeup is just my fave!! Great reviews!!:-) xxx
