Now the Spring collections are making their way onto the shelves it feels there is finally light at the end of the tunnel as it means there isn’t too much longer until we have to say goodbye to the dreary winter months. Well, then again the weather is unpredictable these days so I shouldn’t get my hopes up too much. I’m definitely a girl who adores the warmer weather. Anyway, before I go completely off topic I will jump straight in. Today I am sharing with you some of the Spring Color Collection from NARS. The bold colours of the collection definitely catch your attention.
What NARS has to say about their Spring Collection:
“Rich, aquatic and anchored in glamour. The NARS Spring 2014 Collection kicks off the season with provocative appeal, leaving winter in the wake. Eyes sizzle in gold lamé and iridescent smokey orchid, while cheeks glisten with a splash of shimmering rose peach. Gleaming cantaloupe for nails, and a refreshingly glossy pout in guava and violet evoke a cool burning attitude with this fashion forward collection. Set sail for the high seize with deep dramatic eyes, soft lustrous lips and a seductive glow.”
The Multiple Na Pali Coast *~ A fantastic multi-use product which you can use on the cheeks, eyelids, lips and body. In the photos above I have used it on my cheeks to add some warmth and colour to my face. It blends easily and is a sheer shimmery rosy peach shade. A fantastic product to take on holiday as it adds such a gorgeous sun kissed glow and as its a muliti-use product you can pack lighter. Bonus! I applied it with a brush but it would work best by simply using your fingers. It is enriched with vitamin E and acai oil so has antioxidant benefits. Find it here for £30.
Duo Eyeshadow Kauai* ~ Inspired by the Hawaiian island of Kauai this is classed as a gold lame and iridescent smokey orchid eyeshadow duo. These eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and apply with ease and I had zero fall out which is fab. I applied the gold lame shade all over the lid up to the brow bone and to the inner corner area so it acted as a base and a highlight. I then applied the orchid shade over the base of the lid and I blended it up to just underneath the brow bone. I applied more of the orchid to the base of the lid so it was more intense it that area and also underneath my lash line to make the look a little smokier. If you desired a more intense metallic look you can use this eyeshadows on a wet brush which will then intensify the pigmentation. The only thing I found was that the gold lame colour looked a little more silvery on me. The swatch photos above show it without and with a flash. Find it here for £25.
Larger Than Life Lipgloss Annees Folles* ~ A sheer violet lipgloss which gives your lips a drenched and ultra glossy look. I love this lipgloss as it adds just a hint of colour but still makes a difference to your overall look in my opinion. In the photos above I am wearing this on all of them bar the last one where I am wearing Bilimi* which is a sheer pink guava shade and as you can see it changes the appearance of the look. These lip glosses are long lasting and easy to apply with the precision brush. These work great on their own or overtop of a lipstick to add an extra something! You can find them here for £19.
Overall I’m loving the Spring collection and I’m trying to refrain from buying everything else in it! You can see the entire collection here.
Stunning looks – I love the purple and will definitely need to get that for the S&S looks :o) Xx
