I hope you all had a magical Christmas! It’s time to start blogging again after a few festive days off and it feels good! My stomach however seems to have doubled in size and I feel sluggish, yet I’m somehow still managing to find room for some more Thorntons chocolates. Each day I’ve been drinking alcohol but I’m having a day off as my liver needs a break – until tomorrow of course, it is New Years Eve after all! Not that I have plans. Today I’m planning on fake tanning for my zero plans tomorrow night just incase Mike & I decide to spontaneously do something! Anyway, to get me back in to the blogging swing of things I’ve decided to do a ‘What I Got For Christmas’ post. I’ve have been enjoying all of my fellow blogger’s posts like this the past few days so yes I am jumping on the band wagon. I am in no way shape or form trying to appear as if I’m bragging I just surmised that you may be as nosey I have been and may be curious as to see some of my gifts. I am so thankful for everything I have received. However, new possessions don’t make Christmas great being around your loved ones does.
Beauty ~ Being a beauty blogger I am a girl who is constantly buying beauty products all year round so my family don’t seem to understand why I’d ever want more (I know you reading this understands why!) so I was surprised when I received the amazing gifts above. I had the Naked 3 palette on my list but didn’t think I’d get it so as I unwrapped the wrapping paper and could see the rose gold packaging I was ecstatic. This has made me realise Mike does listen to me sometimes! This year I think Benefit has had some lovely gift sets, their packing was beautiful, so I was so happy to receive the ‘Groovy Kind-A-Love!’ tin from Mum. It has some great Benefit essential products enclosed. I was rather glad I hadn’t already done my makeup as I was so excited to try all of this makeup Christmas morning. After months of searching for brush holders I was relieved and chuffed that Mum got me two Biba ones. They are perfect and just what I needed. Who knew it was so hard to find a home for my brushes?! After blogging about the Soap & Glory ‘Yule Monty’ gift set and not even getting my hands on it myself I was pretty disappointed so I was pleased my Nanny surprised me with it. The products are amazing and the bag will come in handy too. I always love a good coffee table style book so this one called ‘Makeup Is Art’, which I received from my Auntie, was a perfect gift for me. I am yet to read it but I’ve had a flick through and it has some beautiful photographs inside.
Fashion ~ Mike has excelled himself buy buying me all of the items above (minus the slippers – they’re from my Auntie). All of the clothes, shoes and slippers are from River Island (www.riverisland.com). I love the shoes, I had them on my list if you remember from my wish list blog post. They remind me of Michael Jackson! The Scarves are both from Biba and I adore them. The faux fur one is super soft and has a gorgeous brooch detail on it and the other one with gold threading is so cosy as it feels like a jumper and because it is fairly big it can be used as a blanket. The two dresses are from the Chelsea Girl range at R.I. They’re both so pretty. I wore the yellow one with the sheer sleeves on Boxing Day and I’m yet to try the velvet number on so fingers crossed it fits! The top is so pretty and a total glitter bomb!
Jewellery and Accessories ~ I told Mike that I would love a Kate Spade purse so he asked which one I wanted for my main Christmas present but I couldn’t decide as they’re all beautiful so I let him choose. I think he made a great decision. It is pink with a pretty little bow. It has a textured feel to it and there are so many compartments – it’s just fab! Another present which I was hoping to get was this super cute Moschino bunny iPhone case. It is the most adorable phone case to exist I believe. It is rubbery in texture and the rabbit even has whiskers, yep whiskers! I was such a lucky girl to receive a beautiful Pandora ring from my Mum and Michael (my step-dad) It looks so pretty on and will be something I wear everyday. My lovely friend, Katie, treated me to the gorgeous necklace and angel wing earrings which are both from Accessorize.
Homeware ~ I love cushions, my bed is full of them, so when I opened this one from Mum and Michael I was super happy to add another to my collection. This is so big and feels so squishy, I love the vintage style print too. Another item from my Nanny was this cute heart holder. I think it can be used for necklaces or little memos. I’m not sure what I’ll use it for yet but it matches my bedroom perfectly.
but my best gift of all was spending my day with these people…
