Today I didn’t fancy wearing a lot of makeup so thought it would be the perfect time to try this mineral makeup introductory kit from Sheer Cover *
What do you get in the introductory kit?
Perfect Shade Mineral Foundation, Conceal & Brighten Trio, Sun-kissed Bronzing Minerals, Lengthening Mascara, Lash Extending Fibres and a free gift which is a foundation brush, concealer brush and bronzer brush.
How much is it and where can I buy it?
It costs £39.99 which is a complete bargain considering the brushes are worth over £50 alone! You can find it at www.sheercover.co.uk
How do I use the products & what do they do?
First of all you apply the concealer, using the smallest brush in the set, to hide your under eye circles, scars, blemishes etc. You receive 2 creamy concealers which you can mix together to create your own shade or use them individually if they’re already the right shade. Then you use the white cream in this palette to brighten the inner corner of the eye and to highlight the brow bone. This brightener is a lot more subtle than what I am used to as the highlighters I usually use are shimmery and obvious but this product naturally brightens your eyes.
Next you apply the mineral foundation which comes out of the pot the way loose powder does. Using the foundation brush apply this to your face in circular motions. This gives you a smooth finish.
Next apply the bronzer with the angled bronzer brush. You can contour with the darker shade and then warm up the rest of the face by mixing all shades together.
Next apply a coat of the mascara followed by the lash extending fibres and then another coat of mascara. The lash extending fibres look like small pieces of cotton wool stuck to a mascara wand!
What do you think?
What I found good about this makeup is that you can do your makeup so much faster than usual. It was so nice to feel like I didn’t have any makeup on as it is so light which is great when you want your skin to breathe. However, this makeup does give you the appearance of ‘no makeup, makeup’ so may not be for you if you like heavier makeup. This would be perfect if you’re at school or if you are someone who doesn’t like to wear much makeup. These lightweight products give surprisingly good coverage and my skin looks pretty flawless. I think I’d love to wear the product in the Summer as it wouldn’t melt off your face like liquid makeup. I love the mascara and lash fibres! My eyelashes separated so well and looked long and feathery!
What do you think to mineral makeup? Have you tried Sheer Cover?
I use LilyLolo mineral makeup when I feel like no makeup makeup, usually in summer! It’s reasonable price wise and the shade range is great. You can also order sample shades of their foundations which I think is great for working your shade out.
