This evening I was having a little experiment with my makeup. I came up with this smokey eye. I love it when you have time to sit there and just take your time doing your makeup, just sucks as I’ll be wiping it off again soon to get in bed!
What I used on my eyes;
On the lower part of the upper lid I applied ‘Surrender’ from a free Sigma palette I got when purchasing their brushes. You can find this colour in their ‘Dare’ palette. It is a gorgeous deep plum colour with gold flecks. I then added a bit of an eyeshadow from the ‘PIXI Eye Cube’ which is on the upper right in the palette (see photo). I applied these shadows with a large shader brush.
‘Pixi Eye Cube – (top right colour)
In the crease I used the Urban Decay ‘Naked Basics’ palette. Firstly I used ‘Faint’ and a tiny bit of ‘Crave applied with a small tapered blending brush, then for a transition colour I used ‘Naked 2’ with a large fluffy blending brush and for the highlight I used ‘Venus’ & used a sponge tipped applicator brush. I then used the large fluffy blending brush to blend the colours a bit more to create that soft and smokey look.
Urban Decay Naked Basics – (Faint 2nd from right, then Crave far right, followed by Naked 2 next to Faint and finally Venus far left)
I then added more of the PIXI colour to my lower lash with a short shader brush (E20 Sigma).
To make the look more dramatic I added liquid liner from MAC in ‘Boot Black’ followed by ‘They’re Real’ mascara from Benefit and finally MAC black pencil eyeliner in ‘Smoulder’ to the water line!
Other products used;
Loreal ‘Studio Fix’ foundation, Bobbi Brown corrector, Collection 2000 concealer, NARS ‘Laguna’ bronzer, Benefit ‘Rockateur’ blush, MAC ‘Soft & Gentle’ mineralise skin finish, MAC ‘Lingering’ eyebrow pencil & MAC ‘Snob’ lipstick.
Hope you like this look x
